Ashoka Printer

At Ashoka Printer, we are located in Ward Number 51 over in Borsi Colony. Our shop is right near the square, so we see a lot of people passing through on their way to other parts of the colony. Printing is one of those things that keeps you busy no matter what. There is always a stack of paper waiting to be cut or a machine that needs a bit of oil. The square gets pretty lively in the evenings, but inside the shop, it is mostly the sound of the rollers and the smell of fresh ink. We have lived and worked around here for a long time. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about where we stack the finished boxes. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat while we are working on a run of flyers or cards. It is a straightforward kind of business. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations for the shop because the work takes up most of the room anyway. Most days go by pretty fast when there are deadlines to meet. We just keep our heads down and watch the paper feed through. If you are walking around Borsi Colony, you will probably hear the machines clicking away as you get close to the square. We have been part of this ward for a long time and we know most of the faces that walk by our door.
