Shree Mahalaxmi Suppliers is tucked away in Devla Village, which is part of Aspur Tehsil. We are right near the bus stand, so we see everyone coming and going from the village. It’s a small operation. We supply all sorts of things that people in the village might need for their building projects or their farms. Our shop is usually a bit crowded with bags of cement, pipes, and other hardware. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; we just use a paper book to keep track of who owes what. My brother and I run the place. We don't have fixed hours really. If someone knocks on the door early in the morning, we usually open up. It’s a friendly place. People stop by to wait for the bus and end up chatting with us for a bit. We don't spend money on advertising. Everyone in Devla knows us anyway. Sometimes the deliveries from the city are late because the roads are bad, and we have to tell people to wait a few more days. It’s a slow pace of life here. We just try to have the basics in stock so nobody has to travel too far. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We aren't trying to grow into some huge company. We just want to keep the shop running for the village.
