Daspur Block-I Co-Operative Agricultural Marketing Society Ltd.

Our society office is in Shastri Colony on Shastri Marg, right next to the Gramin Baroda Bank. It’s a modest building that serves as a base for our agricultural marketing work. Since we are a co-operative, the atmosphere here is quite different from a regular shop. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers who come in to discuss their crops or check on the current prices. There’s usually a few people sitting on the wooden benches out front, just passing the time or waiting for their turn. The office inside is simple, with some old wooden desks and plenty of paper files. We don't use much fancy technology; we prefer to keep things straightforward. It’s a community-driven place. During the harvest, it gets very hectic and we’re often here late into the evening. We don't have any corporate goals or slogans; we’re just here to help the local growers get their stuff sold. The proximity to the bank is very helpful for everyone. We’ve been part of Shastri Colony for many years and we know just about everyone who walks through the door. It’s a friendly place where people can feel at home while they handle their business. We’re just glad to be a small part of the local farming life here. We have a notice board where people pin up flyers for tractor repairs.
