Air India Sats

Working out here in Devanahalli is a bit different from being in the center of Bangalore. Our office is at number 87 on Mariyanna Street, which is right near the Taluk Office Road. It’s a long drive for some of us, but you get used to the open spaces after a while. The area has grown so much because of the airport being so close. We are located near Purna Chandra’s place, and it’s a fairly quiet spot compared to the city. Most of our work revolves around the logistics and services needed for the flights and the airport operations. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure people are where they need to be. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we get things done. We usually start quite early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. By the afternoon, the sun really hits this part of Karnataka. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at schedules. There’s always someone coming or going since the airport never really sleeps. We keep a few chairs in the front for visitors, but mostly it’s just us working through the daily tasks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for keeping things moving smoothly out there on the runways and in the terminals. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and know the local tea stalls well.
