Acc Ltd. Cement Company

Being located near the petrol pump in Pakkihatti Khellani means we see a lot of traffic passing by every day. Acc Ltd. Cement Company isn’t a place for people who mind getting a little dusty. We deal with heavy bags of cement and the constant sound of trucks coming and going. It’s a straightforward business; builders need supplies and we make sure they get them. The yard is usually full of stacks and there’s always a fine layer of grey powder on everything, including our clothes by the end of the shift. We aren't sitting in air-conditioned offices here. It’s mostly outdoor work, loading and unloading regardless of the weather. When it rains, things get a bit more complicated with keeping the stock dry, but we manage. We’ve got a good relationship with the local contractors who come in for their supplies. They know we don't do anything fancy, we just provide the materials they need to get their jobs done. It’s a tough, physical environment, and the noise from the petrol pump and the main road is always there in the background. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not a glamorous job, but cement is what builds everything around here, so we know it’s important. We’ve been at this spot for a while and it feels like a solid part of the Khellani community now. We just stay focused on the daily grind.
