Hotel Apaar

You can find Hotel Apaar right on Fort Road in Diu, just across from the government parking area at Bunder Chowk. Being near the fort means we get a lot of people who are here to see the history. It’s a good spot because you can walk to a lot of things. The building has a few floors and we have a view of the water from some of the windows. It’s not the most modern place you’ll ever see. We’ve got some older furniture and the paint might be peeling a bit in the corners. We try to stay on top of the cleaning though. The breeze from the sea is nice, but it makes everything salty, so we are always wiping down the windows and door handles. We have a small area where people can sit and talk. Our staff are mostly local guys from Diu who have been with us for a while. They know all about the fishing boats and the best times to go to the beach. We don't have any big fancy slogans. We just open the doors every morning and wait for the guests to arrive. The food nearby is great, especially if you like seafood. We don't have a huge kitchen ourselves, so we usually tell people where to go in the chowk. It’s a simple life here by the coast and we just try to keep things steady for everyone.
