Team Work Spices

Team Work Spices is situated at 3/379 in Nadumvdhalai Kulam. This is part of the Chellam Patti Ondriyam area in Usilampatti Taluk. It’s a bit out of the way, which we actually like. There is a pond nearby, and the whole area feels very rural and open. Our workplace is a simple structure where we handle all our spices. The name comes from the fact that there’s only a few of us and we have to do everything together. One day we might be cleaning the floors, and the next we are packing hundreds of small bags. It is a lot of work for a small group. Usilampatti can get very hot, so we try to keep the windows open, but that sometimes lets in the bugs from the pond. We don't have any fancy computers or automated lines. Everything is done by hand, from the sorting to the sealing. We have a small truck that we use to take things to the main market. Sometimes the roads around Nadumvdhalai Kulam are a bit rough, especially after it rains. We spend a lot of time just sitting on stools and going through the spices to make sure they are clean. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We take our time to make sure things are done right. We don't have any big brochures or fancy labels. We just focus on the bags we fill at 3/379 and hope people find them useful.
