Our place is located at Plot No.1 on Thevaram Main Road. If you know the area near Body Dharmathupatti, you probably know where the bus stop is. We are right there. It gets quite dusty because of all the vehicles passing by on the main road, but that is just how it is. We spend most of our time dealing with masala powders. You can usually smell the spices before you even get inside the building. It is a strong scent that stays on your clothes all day. We have been working out of this spot for a while. The work is mostly grinding and packing. It is not very complicated, but it is hard work. We have a few machines that run most of the morning. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. The bus stop brings a lot of people around, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. The floor is always a bit stained from the turmeric and chili, no matter how much we sweep it. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the bags are sealed properly. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but we just move the bags.
