Sri Kodeeswara Property Developers is based out of Nagal Nagar, right near the bus stand. Being so close to the buses means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. It's a very active part of Thazhakadai. Our office is a simple room where we handle everything related to property development around here. We’ve got some old plastic chairs for visitors and a big clock on the wall that ticks a bit too loud when the room is quiet. We spend a lot of time walking around the local neighborhoods looking at different plots. The bus stand is a good landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Sometimes the smell of the street food from the nearby stalls drifts in, which makes us hungry before lunchtime even starts. We keep a stack of newspapers on the side table, mostly for when things get slow in the afternoons. It's mostly just us two or three people working here, keeping track of who is selling what and making sure the paperwork is filed correctly. The floor is made of old tiles that we try to keep clean, but the dust from the street always finds its way in. It is a practical space for practical work. We don’t really go for anything flashy; we just like to get the job done and go home to our families in the evening when the sun starts to go down.
