Tea Powder

The shop is on N.L Road in Dimapur West, right near St. Merry Church. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the church is, so they can find us easily. We just call the business Tea Powder because that is exactly what we sell. We didn't see the point in a complicated or fancy name. It’s a busy street with people walking to work or the market all day long. We open up early and stay till the evening. The shop is small and full of different types of tea powder. Some is fine, some is a bit coarser. We spend the day scooping it into bags for the people who stop by. You can hear the bells from the church sometimes when it's quiet. Dimapur is a fast-growing place, and N.L Road gets its fair share of traffic and dust. We just keep the floors swept and the tea covered. It’s not a complicated business. We don't have a website or any of that. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s just honest work. We talk to the customers about the weather or the local news while we weigh their tea. It’s a simple life and it suits us just fine here in the west part of town, selling tea to our neighbors. We like the routine and the familiar faces that come through the door every day.
