Self Help Group

Our group works out of House No-66 near the Tuesday Market at the 3rd Mile. It’s a lively spot, especially on market days when the whole road is blocked with stalls and people buying their groceries. We’re right by the A.R.T.C post office too. This is really a community effort. We gather here to work on various small projects and items that we can sell or trade. It’s a lot of manual work, sitting together and making things by hand. The house is old but it gives us enough room to store our supplies and have a place to sit. We don't have any big machinery, just simple tools and our own hands. It’s a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once, but we enjoy the company. We don't have a boss in the traditional sense; we just decide what needs to be done and get to it. Sometimes we spend more time talking and drinking tea than working, but the items always get finished eventually. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us. We started this because we needed a way to help each other out and earn a little extra. People in the neighborhood know where we are, and they often stop by to see what we’re making or just to say hello. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don't plan on changing much anytime soon.
