You can find us at Jony Phonglo’s place in the Ballas area of Maibong. Maibong Agro Organic Producer Company Limited is a small group of us who are trying to work together on the organic side of farming. Maibong is a place with a lot of history, and we feel a part of that when we are out working the fields. Jony’s house is where all the planning happens. It’s not a big office building, just a home where we can keep our things and meet up. We spend most of our time dealing with the reality of farming—things like bugs, bad weather, and the long roads. We don't have any polished speeches or corporate brochures to hand out. We just talk about the soil and the seeds and how the crops are coming along. It’s a lot of hard work, and we often have dirt under our fingernails even when we are doing the company paperwork. We try to be practical about everything and solve problems as they come up. Sometimes the transport is a nightmare and things get delayed, but we just do our best to stay organized. Being a producer company in a place like this means you have to be tough and patient. We are just regular folks who care about the land and want to see our community do okay.
