Soft Tech Computer Centre

We set up Soft Tech Computer Centre in Jyoti Nagar a few years back. It’s on Satsang Vihar Road, which is a fairly quiet area compared to the main market over in Dibrugarh. I always liked messing around with computers since I was a kid, so opening a shop felt like the right move. We do a bit of everything here. Some days it’s teaching the local kids how to use basic software, and other days it’s fixing a laptop that just won’t turn on for some reason. The desks are always a bit crowded with monitors and wires, but we know where everything is. It’s a local place through and through. Students from all around Dibrugarh come by after their classes to get work done. We try to explain things simply because not everyone is a tech expert. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real pain, but we have a backup generator to keep things going. It’s not a huge center, just a few rooms with enough computers for everyone. We handle printing and scanning too, since a lot of people don’t have those machines at home. I usually handle the repairs in the back while the others help with the typing and internet work. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s busy, but we make it work. We don’t have a big marketing budget. Most people find us because their neighbor told them to come here. If you live near Satsang Vihar, you’ve probably walked past our door. We just try to keep the machines running and help people out.
