If you head down to Focal Point and look for C-16, you’ll find us. Hero Engineering Co. has been based here for quite some time now. It’s a typical engineering shop where the sound of machines is the main thing you hear from morning until the evening shift ends. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there’s always a smell of machine oil in the air. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures. It’s just us, the machines, and the work that needs to be delivered to our customers. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine breaks down or a big order comes in last minute. We just put our heads down and get on with it. The area around Focal Point is always humming with activity, and it’s a good place for a business like ours because everyone is doing something practical. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows their job. We don’t go in for big meetings; we usually just talk over the noise of the shop floor to get things sorted. It’s a bit rough around the edges, sure, but the work we do is solid. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to be reliable and keep the machines running so we can go home satisfied at the end of the day. The tea is always hot and the work is always waiting, which is just fine by us.
