B.S. Mechanical Works

We are situated near the Punjab Forging Mills on the Khanna side of Mandi Gobindgarh. This town is famous for steel, and we are right in the thick of it. Our workshop handles a lot of mechanical tasks that come with being in such a heavy industrial area. It’s usually quite hot and loud around here because of all the mills. We have some old machines that still run perfectly and some newer ones too. We don't really have a big sign or anything. Most people just know us by our location. We spend our days cutting, grinding, and welding. It’s hard work and the hours can be long when there’s a big job to finish. We don't have any polished brochures. Most of our work comes from word of mouth or people just dropping in. We treat every job the same, whether it’s a small bracket or a larger piece of machinery. Sometimes we have to get creative when parts aren't available. That’s just part of being a mechanic in this area. We drink a lot of tea and stay focused on the tasks. It’s a simple life. We like the feeling of finishing a piece of work and seeing it go out on a truck. Mandi Gobindgarh is a tough place to work, but we’re used to the dust and the heat by now. We close the doors at six and head home to get ready to do it all again tomorrow morning.
