Gurukul Public School

If you go out to Taluka Sindkeda in Dhule, you will find Gurukul Public School. It is located in a spot that is easy for kids from the surrounding villages to reach. We have a decent sized area where the kids can gather. Life out here in Dhule is a bit slower than the big cities, and our school reflects that. We start our day with a small assembly and then everyone goes to their rooms. The building is sturdy and does the job of keeping the sun out. We have teachers who come from nearby towns to help the students with their studies. We cover the usual subjects like history, geography, and languages. The kids are mostly from farming families, so they are hard-working and don't complain much. We have some trees around the perimeter which give a bit of shade during the hot months. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and plenty of windows for light. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just the usual books and chalk. At the end of the day, the buses and cycles take the kids back to their homes. It is a simple life here at the school. We just want the children to get a basic education so they have more options later on. It’s a lot of routine, but it works for us and the families in Sindkeda. We keep our doors open for anyone in the taluka who wants to learn.
