Our business, Srikanta Solutions Private Limited, is run from Srikanta Satapathy’s place in a small area called Jiridamali. It’s near Kamakhyanagar in the Dhenkanal district. Being out here in a more rural part of the state means things move a bit slower than in the big cities like Bhubaneswar. The office is basically a part of the house that we’ve dedicated to our work. You can hear the sounds of the village throughout the day, like the occasional cow or the neighbors talking across the way. We started this because we wanted to do something local. The road to Jiridamali can be a bit bumpy, especially after the heavy rains, but we don’t mind it much. Most of our furniture is stuff we’ve had for years. It’s not a high-tech looking place, but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea while we go over our tasks. Srikanta is usually around to keep things organized. We don’t have a big staff, just a few local people who know the area well. It’s a quiet life here in Dhenkanal, and we like it that way. We don’t have to deal with city traffic or the stress of a big office building. We just wake up, walk to the office section of the building, and start our day. It’s honest work in a place that we really know and care about.
