Our facility is located over in Jubulitown, right near Deulasahi in the Dhenkanal district. We mainly deal with food products and various types of processing. It’s a pretty busy spot most days of the week. We actually started this whole thing because we noticed a lot of good local produce was going to waste simply because there wasn't a place to process it nearby. Now we handle all of that right here in our own building. It’s not a brand-new factory, but it has everything we need to get the work done. We have a small, dedicated crew of workers who mostly live in the neighborhood. Dhenkanal is a solid place for this kind of industry, and we get especially busy when the harvest seasons roll around. It can get quite loud inside when all the machinery is running, but that’s just the sound of work being done. We aren't trying to be some giant international company; we just handle what the local farmers bring in. Most of our record-keeping is still done by hand because it feels more personal and we’re used to it. Sometimes we run into problems with transport or the power goes out, but that’s just part of life in Orissa. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. The smell of grain is always in the air here, and it reminds us of the work we do.
