Shifa Foods & Beverages

Shifa Foods & Beverages is located over at Padadayyan Hakkal, right off P.B Road. It’s a busy area, so there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing with the food and drinks we stock. The space is a bit narrow, so we have to be careful how we stack the boxes so they don't fall over. P.B Road gets really congested during rush hour, which makes it a bit of a headache for deliveries. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things. We just open up in the morning and close when the work is finished. Sometimes we sit on the steps and watch the trucks go by when it’s slow. My father started this, and now we just keep it moving. The lighting inside is a bit dim, but we know where everything is by heart. We get a lot of regulars who stop in for a quick drink while they’re on their way to work. We don’t have any fancy signs, just the one painted on the wall years ago. It’s a simple life here. We worry about the stock levels and the price of electricity like everyone else. It’s just us trying to make a living in a crowded part of the city. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't, just a local shop that has been here for years. We keep the doors open and hope for a busy day.
