Ms Beverages

Our shop is right by the Cbt Bus Stand, so you can imagine how noisy it gets around here. Between the buses pulling in and the people walking over from Shah Bazar, there is always something going on. We are right in the middle of it all in the Dharwar district and the taluk area. Dealing with beverages means we spend a lot of time moving crates around and making sure the fridge stays running. It gets really dusty with all the traffic from the bus stand, so we have to wipe things down constantly. Most of our customers are just people passing through who need something cold to drink while they wait for their bus. We don't have a lot of space, just enough to store the bottles and have a small counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out and that’s a real problem for the cold drinks. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and seen the bazaar change quite a bit. My father started this and now I’m the one mostly looking after the daily stuff. It's a busy life, especially during the summer months when everyone is thirsty. We don’t have any fancy signs or anything. Just the name and the stock we have on the shelves. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but seeing the same familiar faces from the market helps the time pass by. Every now and then, the bus schedule changes and we have to adjust when we open up. It’s just how it goes for a small shop like this.
