Maniyar Decorators

Maniyar Decorators is right on P B Road, near the Jss Backgate in the Vidyagiri area of Dharwad. We are positioned directly opposite the Syndicate Bank, so it’s easy for people to find our shop. If you walk into our place, you’ll likely see rolls of cloth, bundles of artificial flowers, and a lot of bamboo poles leaning against the walls. It’s a bit of a workshop feel rather than a fancy showroom. We spend most of our time out at different venues, climbing up on stools or ladders to hang decorations. Our hands are usually a bit rough from tying knots and handling wires all day. Dharwad is where we’ve always worked, and we know the wind can be a problem for outdoor setups on P B Road, so we use a lot of extra rope. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a corporate attitude. We’re just a bunch of workers who know how to put up a tent or decorate a stage. Sometimes we get stuck in traffic near the bank, or a delivery of flowers arrives late, and we just have to work faster to catch up. It’s not a glamorous life, but we like seeing a space transform from an empty hall into something colorful. We just do our best with what we have and keep going until the job is finished. There is usually a lot of dust on our boots by the evening.
