Our branch is out in Karnataka, specifically in the Kalghatagi Taluk area of Dharwad. The address is a bit of a mouthful, being S O Gangayyac Ramnal Post, but the locals know exactly where we are. It’s a lot quieter here than in the big cities. You see more trees and open space when you look out. Most of the people who come in are farmers or small business owners from the Ramnal area. We talk about the weather and the crops as much as we talk about accounts. It’s a very practical place. We don’t have flashy signs or modern glass walls. It’s just a sturdy building where we keep the books straight. Life in 581204 moves at its own pace. We know Gangayyac and the families around here quite well. Sometimes a dog will wander near the entrance or someone will park their tractor outside while they come in to sign some papers. We handle things as they come. There’s a lot of trust because we see these people at the market and in the village all the time. It’s not about big numbers or fancy talk. It’s about helping a neighbor figure out their savings or get a small loan for the season. We’re just part of the local landscape here in Dharwad. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be a part of this community. We close up when the sun goes down and head home like everyone else.
