Apoorva Travels

Our place, Apoorva Travels, is right on the main P B Road here in Hubli. If you know the old bus stand, we are basically right across from it. It’s a very loud part of town because of all the buses and rickshaws constantly honking, especially being so close to the Kittur Channamma Circle. You can’t really miss it. We spend most of our morning cleaning the dust off the desks because the road traffic brings in so much of it. It’s just part of being in such a busy area. People are always rushing past our door to catch their transport, and sometimes they pop in quickly to see if we have any seats left for a trip to the next town. We keep a stack of paper ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days, but they get the job done. It’s mostly just us handling the phone calls and writing out tickets by hand when the printer acts up. We’ve seen the circle change a lot over the years, with new shops opening and others closing, but we stay put right here. It’s a handy spot for travelers since everything is nearby. If you are waiting for a bus and have some time, you might see us standing outside just watching the chaos of the traffic. It’s not a quiet job, but we like being in the middle of things where the action is every day.
