Naina Alex Higher Secondary School

Located over in Jagirburgur, our school is part of the daily life here in Dharmapuri. It’s a higher secondary school, so we deal with a lot of teenagers who are mostly worried about their exams and what comes next. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a place for learning. The teachers here have been around for years, and they know most of the families in the neighborhood. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going with the lessons. It’s not always quiet; there’s always someone running in the hallway or a teacher calling for order. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone knows their math and science. It’s practical work. We spend our afternoons grading papers and getting ready for the next morning. It’s a steady routine. People know us as the local school where you send your kids to finish their schooling before they head off to college or work. It has been this way for years.
