Lakshmi Chamber Bricks

You can find us at 123 Ram Nagar in Pennagaram. We have been working out of this spot for a good while. The chamber process is how we do things, which means we spend a lot of time around the heat. It is a bit of an old-fashioned way to make bricks, but it is what we know. The yard at Ram Nagar is usually full of smoke and the smell of fire. We have piles of wood and coal nearby to keep the heat going. It is a lot of heavy work, especially during the summer when Pennagaram gets really hot anyway. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys who don't mind getting their hands dirty. The bricks come out with different shades of red depending on where they were in the chamber. We spend a lot of time sorting through them. It is not the kind of place you would want to wear nice shoes to. There is mud and ash everywhere. We just try to keep the fires going and the bricks moving out to the sites. People come by with their own trucks or we find someone to haul them. We don't really do anything else besides this. It is a simple life of fire, clay, and hard work. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we head home to get the dust off us and have some dinner.
