Honey N Spice

Up here in Vpo Bhagsunag, the air is a bit different than down in the main city of Dharamsala. Honey N Spice is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It isn't a huge place, just a simple spot where we can cook and serve people who are visiting the temple or walking up the trails. We have lived in this part of Dharamshala for years, so setting up here felt right. The weather gets cold, so we try to keep the place feeling a bit warm. We don't use any fancy machines to cook, it's all very basic. Sometimes the electricity goes out because of the rain, and we just use candles or whatever we have. We get a mix of people, some locals who live nearby and travelers who look a bit lost. We don't have a big staff, so if it’s busy, you might have to wait a little. We just do the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. It is a quiet life for the most part, except during the peak season when the streets are full. We like being in 176215 because everyone knows each other. You can see the mountains from the door when the clouds clear up. It’s not a fancy restaurant, just our little corner where we make some food and try to get through the day.
