Gaurav Mukhija

I’m Gaurav Mukhija and I’m based out of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. My address is S-1, Type 4 Quarters in the H.P.P.W.D Colony. It’s up in the Kacheri area, which is a bit higher up. Being in a government colony like this means things are pretty quiet and orderly most of the time. I’ve been living and working here for a while now. Dharamshala is a beautiful place, obviously, with the mountains right there and the fresh air. I don't have a big store-front or a sign that lights up at night to attract people. I just use my quarters as a base to get things done. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the main market area, but I prefer it that way. You don’t get all the tourist noise and the traffic up here. I usually spend my mornings getting through the mail and my afternoons finishing up whatever projects are on the table for that day. I don’t use a lot of fancy equipment or expensive gadgets. Just the basics that work for me. The air is good here, and that helps when you’ve got a lot of work to do and need to stay focused. I’m not trying to build some massive empire or become famous. I just want to do my job well and live a decent life here in the hills. If you’re coming up toward Kacheri, you’ll find the colony easily enough. It’s a very normal, local way of doing things.
