Adarsh Academy

Adarsh Academy is situated right on the NH-3 Main Road in Dhamnod, within the Dhar district. Being on a National Highway means there is constant traffic, with big trucks and cars zooming past all day long. We have a tall gate and a solid wall to keep the students safe from the road. The post office is just a short walk away, which is handy for our mail. The school is a three-story building, and from the top floor, you can see the highway stretching out towards Dhar. It gets quite hot in this part of the country, so we have big fans in every classroom and we keep the windows open for the breeze. The noise from the road is something we’ve all just gotten used to over the years. We have a small parking area for the teachers' bikes and a couple of school vans. The classrooms are filled with rows of benches and the walls have maps and hand-drawn posters. We don't have a big fancy auditorium, so we hold our functions in the open courtyard when the weather allows. It’s a busy, practical school that serves the families living in and around Dhamnod. We focus on the basics and making sure the students are ready for their exams. It’s a straightforward place with no hidden frills or complicated rules.
