This place belongs to the Taj Hotel, Resortandpalaces group, but our specific office is located over in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Specifically, we are set up at Mr. Ram Gope’s place in Shastrinagar. Moonidih is a bit of a different kind of area, very tied to the coal mines and all that. Being in quarter MM-243 means we aren't in some big glass skyscraper. It’s a real neighborhood with neighbors who know each other and kids playing in the street. I’ve lived in Dhanbad for a long time, so I’m used to the black dust and the heavy trucks passing by. Our setup is quite modest. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating things for the different properties. It’s not always easy keeping everything straight, especially when the internet goes slow or the power flickers, which happens more than I’d like to admit. There are piles of folders on the shelves and a few old chairs for when visitors stop by to talk about bookings or maintenance. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone telling us how to speak. It’s just me and a couple of others making sure the paperwork gets filed and the guests are taken care of at the end of the day. It’s a lot of work, but we’re used to the grind. Living and working in Shastrinagar has its own rhythm, and we just follow along with it. We just keep our heads down and do the work required.
