Pharmakem

If you find yourself on Argaghat Road in Giridih, you’ll eventually see where we work. The place is called Pharmakem and it’s located right where Anand Kumar is. Giridih is a place that feels a bit slower than the big cities, which I think most of us here in Jharkhand actually prefer. Our daily routine is mostly about checking the stock and making sure everything is in the right place. The building stays fairly cool even when the sun is beating down outside. There is always a bit of dust on the road because of the local traffic, so we spend some time every morning just cleaning off the counters. It’s a simple business. We don't have a lot of complicated systems, just some ledgers and a few computers that we use to keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or to ask about something happening in the town. We usually have a fan going in the corner because it helps with the humidity. Working here feels like being part of the community because everyone knows everyone else on Argaghat Road. We aren't trying to be anything big or flashy. We just want to get through our list of tasks for the day and then head home to our families. It is honest work in a quiet corner of Jharkhand, and we like it that way.
