Nakul Pan Bhandar

If you’re ever walking through the Zila Parishad Market in Hirapur, you’ve probably seen us. Nakul Pan Bhandar is right near Anand Medical, so a lot of people stop by after they get their medicine or while they’re waiting for a bus. Dhanbad can get pretty dusty and loud, especially in a busy market like this one, but we’re used to it by now. We spend most of our time at the counter, preparing pan for the regulars who come by every single day. It’s a small spot, nothing special to look at, just a counter and some jars. We start early in the morning, getting the leaves ready and making sure everything is fresh. The 826001 area is always moving, and being in the Zila Parishad Market means there’s never a quiet moment. We see all kinds of people, from students to office workers. Some stay to chat for a minute, while others are in a big hurry. It’s a simple routine. We don’t have any big plans to expand or anything; we just like being part of the local scene here in Hirapur. Dealing with the heat in the summer is probably the hardest part, but having a cold drink and talking to the neighbors helps pass the time. It’s just a small family-run thing, really. We keep it simple and stay busy from morning till night. It’s a good way to live, being right in the market.
