Banwaripur Tea Estate

Our tea estate is in the village of Baduli Par, right near the A T Road. If you’re driving on NH-37 in Golaghat, you can’t miss the area. It’s a very green place, especially after the rains start. Banwaripur Tea Estate is where we spend all our time. It’s a lot of hard work out in the fields and then in the processing sheds. The weather can be tough, either too hot or pouring with rain, but the tea doesn't wait. We have a lot of people from the village working with us. It’s more of a community feel than a company. We don’t have fancy gates or polished offices. The roads inside the estate are just dirt and gravel. You’ll often see the tractors moving back and forth with the fresh leaves. We live and work right here, so there isn’t much of a break between the two. The sound of the NH-37 is always in the background, reminding us how close we are to the main route. We don’t do much talk about being the best or anything like that. We just focus on the plants and the harvest. Some years are better than others depending on the monsoon. That’s just the way farming goes. We just keep at it, season after season, here in Baduli Par, making sure the work gets done properly before the sun goes down.
