You’ll find us out at Milestone 18 on the Ambala Kalka Road. It’s in Village Bhankharpur, near Derabassi. Being out here in Dist. Sas Nagar makes sense for what we do. We are surrounded by fields and open space. We work on agro-tech stuff, mostly machinery or tools that people use in farming. The workshop gets noisy when the machines are running. It’s a dusty place because of the road and the work we do. We don’t have a paved parking lot or anything, just a big open space for the trucks to turn around. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out or use the generator. My cousins and I run the day-to-day operations. It's a lot of heavy lifting and getting grease on your hands. The office is just a small room off to the side with a couple of chairs and a calendar on the wall. We mostly deal with locals and people driving through on the highway. We’ve lived in this village our whole lives, so we know most of the people who come by. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a website that’s updated every day. We just do the work as it comes. The air is a bit fresher out here than in the city, though the trucks on the Kalka road are always loud. We like being near the P.O. because it makes shipping easier for us.
