Shivam Bricks Factory

Our place, Shivam Bricks Factory, is down in Dumri, right in the New Colony area. We are quite close to Nai Bazar, so there is always some noise and activity around us. Making bricks is hard work and the factory stays busy from early morning until late evening. The soil around here is good for what we do, which is why we stayed in this spot. You can see the smoke from the chimneys when the kiln is running. It gets very hot near the fires, especially during the months when the sun is already high. We have a group of workers who have been with us for years. They know the routine better than anyone. We keep our office in a small room near the main gate so we can see who is coming in and out. There are always piles of raw materials sitting around waiting to be processed. The New Colony has grown a lot since we first started, and now there are more houses nearby than there used to be. Sometimes we have to deal with rain which slows everything down because the bricks need to dry properly. We just take it as it comes. There is no point in rushing things when you are dealing with mud and fire. It is a humble setup, but it keeps us busy and provides for the families working here. We mostly just focus on the day-to-day tasks.
