Seema Stones

My family has been working around here in Ramganj Mandi for quite a while now. Seema Stones is just a small place right in Bazar No 1. People usually stop by when they are looking for local stone for their houses or some construction work. We spend most of our days dealing with the dust and the heavy blocks coming in from the nearby areas. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. We are easy to find if you head toward the post office in Deoli, Khurad. The shop is usually open early because that is when the trucks start moving. Sometimes the weather makes things slow, especially when it rains a lot and the yards get muddy. Most of the people who come here are neighbors or contractors from the local villages. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a desk and some samples of the stone we have in stock. If you need something specific, you just have to ask and we see what is available at the moment. Dealing with stone is heavy work and it takes a lot of time to get everything sorted right. We just try to get the orders ready so the builders can do their jobs without waiting too long on us. It is a quiet life here in the bazaar, mostly just talking to folks and moving slabs around all day.
