Amit Kumar

My name is Amit Kumar and I live and work out of Village Gaichand, which is under the Jamtara post office. Living in a village means things move at a different pace compared to the big cities. I’ve lived here most of my life. My work is basically what I do every day right from my home base. It’s a quiet area, mostly fields and small houses around. You won’t find any big shopping malls or glass buildings here. Jamtara is our main point for mail and supplies. I started this because I wanted to do something for myself without leaving the village. Sometimes the internet is slow or the rain makes it hard to get around, but we manage. People in Gaichand know each other, so it’s a friendly place. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy office. It’s just me handling whatever comes my way. Most of my day is spent balancing work and the usual chores that come with village life. It’s a simple existence, honestly. I don't really use big words or have a grand plan. I just want to keep working and help out where I can. If you ever find yourself in this part of Jamtara, you’ll see it’s a very grounded way of living. I’m just a local guy trying to make a living in his own hometown. My neighbors often stop by to chat about the crops or the weather while I'm working. It’s a small, peaceful life here in Gaichand.
