Wetlook Saloon

Down on Old Rohtak Road, you will find Wetlook Saloon. We are at 19/274 in the Daya Basti area of Delhi. It is easy to find because we are right near the Usha Mata Mandir. You can hear the temple bells sometimes when things get quiet in the afternoon. This part of Delhi is always crowded, with cars and rickshaws going by constantly. Our shop isn't huge, but it's enough for the chairs and the sinks we need. We have been here for a good number of years now. Most of the people who come in live right here in Daya Basti. They know my name and I know theirs. It is a simple setup. We do shaves, hair cutting, and some coloring if people want it. The floor is a bit worn from all the walking, but we keep it clean enough. I usually start the day by cleaning the mirrors. There is a guy who brings us tea every afternoon around four. It is a routine that works for us. Living and working near a temple like Usha Mata Mandir means there is always something happening on festivals. We usually stay open late then because everyone wants to look decent for the celebrations. We do not have fancy chairs, but they are comfortable enough for a quick cut. Just a normal Delhi shop on a busy road. We do not bother with big ads, just the sign out front and the open door.
