We spend most of our days here at No. 2168 Tilak Bazaar surrounded by blocks of wax and finished pieces. It gets pretty hot in the summer but we've gotten used to it over the years. My father started things here and now I’m the one opening up the shutters every morning at nine. People come in looking for specific types of wax for their own projects or just to see what we have ready on the shelves. The bazaar is always noisy outside but inside it’s mostly quiet except for the sound of things being moved around. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the floor gets a bit slippery from the drips, so we have to be careful not to slide. We keep a lot of stock in the back because you never know what someone might need on a Tuesday morning. It’s a simple life. We know the neighbors and they know us. Most of the time, we’re just busy packing orders or melting down a fresh batch for the next day. It’s what we know. There isn’t much to say other than we’ve been at this address for a long time and plan to stay for much longer. If you walk past the big tea stall and the spice sellers, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work for local people.
