Unique Agencies is tucked away in Tilak Nagar at Khalsi Line 10/518. It’s one of those narrow streets where everyone knows everyone else. Our shop is quite packed with all sorts of things. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a rickety ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps near the counter. It gets quite busy in the afternoons when the local shops come to see what we have in stock. We spend a lot of time moving boxes around to find what someone is looking for. The Khalsi Line area is always full of the smell of street food and the sound of rickshaws. We have a small bench outside where we sit when the shop is empty. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we are always sweeping. We’ve got an old clock on the wall that ticks quite loudly, but we are used to it by now. It’s just a basic agency. We handle the paperwork on a wooden desk that’s been here since we opened. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, and we have to go out and help the driver navigate. It’s a lot of small tasks that keep the day going. We just do our work and go home.
