We are located in the Azadpur Commercial Complex at M-4B. SUMER CHAND &SONS has been a name in this market for a long time. The complex is always buzzing with traders and workers moving crates of produce around. Our office is on the upper floor, so you have to climb some narrow, dark stairs to get to us. It’s mostly desks piled high with ledgers and old files that we haven't sorted in years. We deal with various trading goods that come through the mandi nearby. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. We have a small window that looks out over the parking lot, which is always a mess of trucks and rickshaws. My brothers and I run the operations now. We don't have fancy furniture or a modern office look. It’s all very functional and a bit old-fashioned. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but we just ignore it. We know most of the other traders in Azadpur because we've all been here for a long time.
