Sri Ram Marketing

Our place is in Keshavpuram, specifically over on Lawrence Road at B 4/7D. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets with trucks and delivery vans. We have been here for a while, tucked into this corner of the block. The shop is filled with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. We do marketing and distribution, which basically means we spend our time moving things from one place to another. It is a lot of lifting and checking lists. We don't have a big fancy storefront with lights. It is just a door and a lot of stock inside. My brother and I run the daily stuff, and we have a couple of boys who help with the loading. The mornings are usually spent on the phone talking to suppliers or making sure the deliveries are ready to go out. Lawrence Road has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the stools for a bit until it comes back. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is what we know. We’ve lived in this part of Delhi most of our lives, so we are used to the noise and the pace. Customers know they can find us here six days a week. We don't do much advertising; people just hear about us through word of mouth. It is a simple setup that works for us and our families without any big corporate talk.
