Shivalik Printers

Shivalik Printers is at number 314 in the Patparganj Industrial Area. It’s a crowded place with lots of trucks moving around all day. The noise never really stops. We’ve been in this unit for a long time. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re always too busy for that. We have stacks of paper everywhere. Sometimes it feels like the paper is taking over the building. We don't have a fancy front office. You just walk through the main door and you're in the middle of the machines. The smell of ink is very strong. You get used to it after five minutes of being inside. Our workers are mostly local people from nearby. We eat lunch on the roof when the weather is nice. Patparganj is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat in the summer. We have fans going all day. We don’t do any of that corporate branding stuff. We just print things. If someone needs something, they come in and we talk about it over the sound of the presses. It’s a lot of hard work. We stay late during the busy season to finish things. It’s just part of the life here. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We’re just a printing shop in an industrial estate doing our bit. People know us and we know them. We focus on the paper and the ink.
