At Sai Water Suppliers, we spend most of our time out on the road or at our base in Uttam Nagar. You can find our main spot at Vijay Vihar, P-18. It’s a busy part of town, and the streets can be a real challenge for our delivery vehicles. We started this because people in the area always seemed to be struggling with consistent water. It’s not a complicated business, but it’s definitely hard work. We’re usually up before the sun, getting the tanks filled and checking the routes for the day. P-18 is where we keep the records and handle the calls that come in. The office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a lot of logbooks. We don't have a website or a social media manager. Most of our work comes from people just knowing our name and seeing the trucks around Vijay Vihar. Some days are long, especially in the summer when everyone is thirsty and the pipes are dry. We get a lot of dust on our clothes and we’re always moving, but it feels good to be useful. We’ve lived around Uttam Nagar for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the families living on each block. It’s just us doing what we can to make sure the water gets where it needs to go. If you see us at P-18, we’re probably just busy loading up for the next round.
