Our shop is at Plot No. 1691 on the main road in Nai Sarak. This area is famous for all the paper and books, so we fit right in with the other shops. We sell all kinds of stationery, from simple pens and pencils to big stacks of notebooks and ledgers. The shop is quite narrow and the shelves go all the way to the top ceiling, so we have to use an old wooden ladder to reach most things. It’s a bit wobbly so you have to be careful when climbing up. We’ve been here for many years and the wooden floorboards creak every time you walk on them. It’s always busy with students from the nearby schools and office workers looking for supplies. Sometimes we run out of blue ink pens because everyone seems to want the same kind at once. We don't have a fancy display window, just things piled up wherever they fit on the counter. My father used to run this place many years ago and now I handle the daily sales. We have an old calculator that we still use instead of a computer. The light inside is a bit dim but we know our way around the stacks. Customers usually have to wait a bit while we find what they need in the back. It’s a traditional way of doing things in Nai Sarak and we keep it simple.
