Rajesh Bhalla

Being in Naraina is something else. It's always moving and there is rarely a quiet moment. My name is Rajesh Bhalla and this is where I do my thing. It isn't a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a space in Naraina where I can sit and work without too many distractions. Some days are slower than others. I usually start the morning by checking the mail and seeing what needs my attention first. The traffic outside can get pretty bad around five in the evening. You can hear the horns honking from the main road even when the windows are shut. I’ve been in Naraina for a good bit now and I know the local tea stall guy pretty well. He brings over a glass whenever I look like I need a break. It's just me here mostly. I handle the paperwork and the phone calls myself. Rajesh Bhalla is the name on the files. People ask why I don't have a bigger sign but I don't see the point. Everyone who needs to find me finds me eventually. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, maybe a light grey or something, but I haven't found the time to move all the furniture. It’s a bit cramped with the extra chairs but it works for what I need. I spend more time here than at home sometimes. Naraina has that way of keeping you busy.
