Plastic Raw Material

Sadar Bazar is a place you have to see to believe. It is incredibly crowded and the lanes in Purani Delhi are so narrow that two people can barely walk side by side in some spots. Our business, Plastic Raw Material, is at Plot No - 609. It’s a busy spot. We deal with sacks and containers all day long. The air always smells a bit like dust and old paper. Dealing with raw materials in a place like this means you are always moving. There is no such thing as a quiet day in Sadar Bazar. We start early, usually around nine, and the first thing we do is check the night's deliveries. The space is cramped, so we have to be very organized with how we stack things. If you put one pile in the wrong place, you can’t get to the back of the room. It’s a bit of a puzzle every morning. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people mostly know us from being here for years. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We eat together in the small back area. The noise from the street never really stops, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. It’s just the sound of the city working. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things but it has worked for us so far.
