Our shop is right in the middle of the chaos at Tilak Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Khari Baoli, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s crowded, noisy, and there’s always someone hauling a cart past your feet. We are at number 143, and honestly, sometimes it’s hard to even see the number with all the bags and crates piled up nearby. It’s an old building, like most things around here, and it’s got that specific smell of dust and chemicals that sticks to your clothes. We open up early because the market starts moving before the sun is even fully up. It’s a small space, so we have to be really careful about how we stack things. We spend a lot of time talking to the porters and the regular customers who’ve been coming to this part of Delhi for decades. It’s not the kind of place where you come for a quiet chat. You have to shout a bit over the noise of the street. Mishra Chemical Works has been part of this street for a long time. We don't have fancy computers or a sleek storefront. It’s just wooden counters, some old ledgers, and a lot of hard work. When the rains come, the lane gets narrow and muddy, but business doesn't stop. We just keep moving the stock and helping people find what they need in the middle of all the bustle.
