Number-30 in Narain Market is where L. Jeewan Sons has been for years. If you know Sadar Bazaar, you know it’s one of the busiest places you could ever find yourself in. The streets are narrow and always packed with people looking for a deal. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a small space, but we pack it from floor to ceiling with stock. You have to be careful walking through the aisles because things are stacked pretty high. We don't have fancy lights or a big sign. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for a long time or they heard about us from someone else in the market. The air in Sadar Bazaar is always thick with the sound of voices and the bells of rickshaws. It can be exhausting, but there’s an energy to it that you don't get anywhere else. We start our day early, pulling up the shutters and setting things out. There isn't much room for an office, so we mostly do our accounts at a small desk near the front. It’s a family-run kind of feeling, even on the days when it’s stressful. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but Narain Market stays the same in a lot of ways. It’s a gritty, honest place to do business. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk through the door.
