You can find us at Nehru Place, specifically in the Eros Corporate Towers on Level 15. Being that high up gives us a pretty good view of the city, though half the time we’re staring at computer screens or stacks of site plans. Nehru Place is always a bit of a mess with people and cars, so getting to the elevators can take a minute. Infrastructure work is a lot of back and forth, and that’s mostly what goes on in this office. We have desks cluttered with folders and blue prints that never seem to stay organized no matter how hard we try. It’s a corporate building, but inside our unit, it feels a lot more grounded. We have folks coming in and out from different sites, usually with mud on their boots and a lot of stories about why a certain project is running behind. We drink way too much tea during the afternoon meetings. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater on the back of our chairs. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a place where we manage the logistics and make sure the supplies are getting where they need to go. We deal with a lot of numbers and regulations, which can get dry, but it’s what keeps the lights on. It’s a steady rhythm here, and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace of the building.
