Durga Printer & Binder

We run Durga Printer & Binder from our shop at No. 5785/6. It is not a very big space, and it is almost always crowded with stacks of paper, cardboard, and big containers of ink. We have been in the printing business for quite a long time now. The machines we use are old but they are reliable and we know how to fix them when they break down. We mostly do basic printing and binding for people in the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where your hands are always a bit stained with black or blue ink. We don't have a fancy showroom or even a place for people to sit down. Most customers just stand at the counter and tell us what they need. It’s noisy when the printers are running, so we often have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a mission statement or any corporate goals. We just want to get the books bound and the pages printed so people can pick them up on time. Sometimes we have to work through the night if there is a big order for a local school or office. It is a lot of manual work, cutting the paper and making sure the glue is set right. We’ve been at 5785/6 for years and most people around here know us by name. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we stay busy.
